Monterey County Guide Dogs and the Lyceum

There’s a new boy in town! Meet Jag…

Jag transferred to the Casey Family mid June. He was 11 months old at the time of the transfer and is an adorable black lab with some white markings on his face and chest.  Check out the puppies page. (It seems that we have the “J” club!)

Puppy breath…

Laurie picked up her first puppy in April. Janeera is a female black lab. An adorable puppy!

Jaymie was able to take Juleen to visit Ultra!

It’s a girl!

Jaymie picked up Juleen at the end of July. She is absolutely adorable.
Jaymie raised Ultra who became a breeder. Ultra had her first litter in May and Juleen is Ultra’s pup. She is a female yellow lab.

Look at two of Ultra’s pups! No wonder she’s thin…skinny mom, chubby puppies!

Jaymie went to Guide Dogs to meet Ultra’s litter before they go off to their  puppy raisers. They will be ready for their next adventure on the 21st of this July.

Sharon, Rich and Tyler picked up Saul on June 26. He has been officially transferred to their home. At first Anton (cc 2006) wasn’t pleased, but after a few days he decided that it was fun to have another friend. They are big buddies now and Anton is a good mentor for Saul.

Jaymie took Pedro back to Guide Dogs on June 26th for his recall. She was informed that he was not chosen for breeder stock and was scheduled to be neutered and put into training string. Good Luck Pedro!!

The Puppies have arrived! How very prompt -Ultra delivered 7 healthy puppies on her due date of May 25! She had 4 black pups and 3 yellow. We don’t know the male/female count yet, but we do know that it is a “J” litter. Isn’t that appropriate? Of course one should be named Jaymie. Does this bring the count up to 126 that Denzel has sired? Congratulations Jaymie and Ultra.

Pedro’s recall date is expected to be at the end of June, and he needed long term puppy sitter. Jaymie agreed  to step in and  Pedro has been in her home since the end of May. I think Dylan must be as prolific as Denzel! We’ve had several Dylan pups in our club this year. Can you name them?
